The Chi-Rho, one of the earliest Christian symbols, merges the Greek letters Chi (Χ) and Rho (Ρ) from the word "Christ" (ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ). It appears in the catacombs of Rome, where early Christians worshiped in secret during persecution, representing their defiant faith and hope in Jesus.
